Driven by raw materials

Insulating is very sustainable, but sustainably insulating seems quite complicated.
We dove into this because we want to understand how it works.
We discovered that with less, we can do more.
Sometimes it seems like a drop on a green plate.
But we are driven. And we’re ready to move forward.
Bigger, greener, and easier. That's what we’re going for.

Do more
with less

From homes to commercial buildings. From existing to new buildings. We help you insulate them as sustainably as possible. And together with you, we fight against wasting time, knowledge, money, and materials.

The rub

Insulating is good for the environment. But the way we insulate rubs. How sustainable is it to always use new raw materials while building up a mountain of insulation waste? The idea that it should be different and better starts to grow.

Closing the loop

We developed a method to recycle discarded sandwich panels into new raw materials. A world first! We start working with the released insulation materials. Can we make new insulation boards out of them?

The first board

After a lot of innovation, we succeeded. We are now able to make an insulation board that is fully recyclable and partly consists of reused insulation material. With the construction and thermal properties you're used to. Green and good!

Our own factory

Small ideas become big. We build a sustainable, energy-efficient factory in Duiven to produce at scale and deliver from stock.

Production starts

Finally, the first insulation boards roll off the line and find their way to construction sites across the Netherlands.

Certifications

After CE, DOP, and BCRG, we can also hang the KOMO certificate on the wall. This way, contractors can confidently apply our insulation boards in construction.

Scaling up

The demand for our insulation boards is growing so fast that we are expanding our team and doubling production capacity. Meanwhile, we're not stopping. Because our insulation boards now contain partially recycled material, we won't rest until our insulation is 100% circular.

Environmental Impact

Our insulation is demonstrably the environmentally friendly PIR choice for insulating facades, walls, and roofs.

Outline

Life Cycle Analysis (LCA)

From the extraction of raw materials to the recycling of our insulation material, we’ve had the full environmental impact of each insulation board calculated.

National Environmental Database (NMD)

You don’t have to just take our word for it. The data is independently verified and available in the National Environmental Database. Compare the environmental declarations yourself!

Group 26141

Environmental Cost Indicator (MKI)

It turns out that Insus insulation boards have the lowest MKI value. This is a shadow price in euros, indicating the cost to offset negative environmental impacts.

Environment Protection

Environmental Product Declaration

With our environmental product declarations, you can show certifying bodies (e.g., BREEAM or LEED) that you’ve used sustainable insulation materials.

Falk

BUILDING CIRCULAR AMBITIONS TOGETHER

Insus and FALK are working together on a world where waste is given a future. We have succeeded in creating a new insulation core from existing sandwich panels! And it goes even further: the recovered raw materials can even be reused in a new sandwich panel. This way, we close the circle and prevent large amounts of construction waste. FALK customers can even return their sandwich cutting waste free of charge.
