InsusRoof Afschot

Slope insulation for flat and lightly sloping roofs

InSuRoof Afschot has been developed to create precise tapered insulation systems for flat and low-pitched roofs. By installing insulation with a slope, controlled rainwater drainage is achieved, reducing the risk of standing water.

The high-performance PIR tapered insulation boards combine excellent thermal performance with dimensional stability, ensuring they remain securely in place. This creates a virtually uninterrupted insulation layer with reliable thermal performance throughout the roof’s service life.

The PIR tapered boards are suitable for mechanically fixed, loose-laid, bonded and ballasted roofing systems. Manufactured using partly recycled raw materials, the boards feature a gas-tight multilayer aluminium facing. This makes InSuRoof Afschot a reliable solution for professional roofing projects in both new construction and renovation.

FM Approved version available

An FM Approved version of InSuRoof Afschot is available on request and can be identified by the addition of “FIKE” in the product name.

Frequently Asked Questions

What information do I need for Wkb or project documentation?

For Wkb and project documentation, you need product-related documents such as technical data sheets, Declarations of Performance (DoP) and installation guidelines. These documents form the basis for quality assurance and a complete project file.

Is PIR insulation compressive strength resistant?

Yes, PIR insulation has a high compressive strength and is suitable for applications where loads occur, such as flat roofs and floors. The right board selection depends on the application and the expected load.

Can I combine PIR insulation with solar panels?

Yes, PIR insulation can be combined very well with solar panels. It is advisable to insulate the roof first and install the solar panels afterwards to avoid unnecessary extra work and costs. The roof build-up must, however, be suitable for the additional load.

Is PIR insulation vapour-tight?

PIR insulation has a high vapour-resistant performance, especially when the boards are faced with a suitable lining. The final vapour-tightness depends on the complete build-up and the finishing of the construction.

Is PIR insulation water-resistant?

Yes, PIR insulation has a closed-cell structure and absorbs very little moisture. This helps maintain its insulating performance, even when exposed to moisture.

Do I need to tape the joints of insulation boards?

Yes, taping joints and connections is necessary to create an airtight construction. This helps prevent air leakage and heat loss. Always use a tape that is suitable for the type of insulation board and the specific application.
