For Wkb and project documentation, you need product-related documents such as technical data sheets, Declarations of Performance (DoP) and installation guidelines. These documents form the basis for quality assurance and a complete project file.

Insulating with impact: less waste, more convenience
There is little we dislike more than waste. Not only of raw materials, but also of time, knowledge and resources. That is why we work every day on insulation solutions that promote more efficient material use, smarter processing and greater ease of installation. Together, we are taking steps towards a more circular construction industry.
PIR insulation made with partly recycled raw materials
Insus PIR insulation boards are manufactured using partly recycled raw materials. These materials are recovered from end-of-life sandwich panels and sandwich doors. After a carefully controlled recycling process, part of these raw materials is incorporated into new insulation boards. Thanks to this approach and other sustainable choices throughout our supply chain, our roof, wall and floor insulation boards rank among the PIR insulation boards with the lowest MKI scores, according to the latest data in the Dutch National Environmental Database.
Green insulation, made in the Netherlands
Our insulation boards are manufactured in the Netherlands. This reduces transport distances and keeps the supply chain efficient and transparent. It also enables fast delivery from stock, making you less dependent on international transport. This is how we combine reliable availability with efficient logistics.
Trusted insulation value and fire safety
Our insulation boards offer the same high thermal performance as standard PIR insulation boards and comply with applicable legislation and regulations. FM Approval is available for specific applications, providing additional assurance regarding the tested fire safety performance of the product and helping you meet project-specific requirements.
Endlessly recyclable PIR insulation boards
Your PIR insulation is designed for long-term performance. That may still seem far away, but at Insus we are already thinking about what happens after use. With our take-back guarantee, you can make agreements in advance about the collection and processing of the insulation boards at the end of their service life. This allows valuable raw materials to be reused wherever possible.
On the road to 100% recycled insulation
Our ambition is to produce an insulation board made entirely from recycled material. That is not yet possible today, but the journey has begun. We continue to find ways to recover what is valuable and reduce what is unnecessary. Simply by thinking logically. Step by step. Board by board.
Frequently asked questions
What information do I need for Wkb or project documentation?
Is PIR insulation compressive strength resistant?
Yes, PIR insulation has a high compressive strength and is suitable for applications where loads occur, such as flat roofs and floors. The right board selection depends on the application and the expected load.
Can I combine PIR insulation with solar panels?
Yes, PIR insulation can be combined very well with solar panels. It is advisable to insulate the roof first and install the solar panels afterwards to avoid unnecessary extra work and costs. The roof build-up must, however, be suitable for the additional load.
Is PIR insulation vapour-tight?
PIR insulation has a high vapour-resistant performance, especially when the boards are faced with a suitable lining. The final vapour-tightness depends on the complete build-up and the finishing of the construction.
Is PIR insulation water-resistant?
Yes, PIR insulation has a closed-cell structure and absorbs very little moisture. This helps maintain its insulating performance, even when exposed to moisture.
Do I need to tape the joints of insulation boards?
Yes, taping joints and connections is necessary to create an airtight construction. This helps prevent air leakage and heat loss. Always use a tape that is suitable for the type of insulation board and the specific application.
