Our recycling process takes place in an energy-efficient facility where we operate as much as possible electrically and separate all material streams. No harmful gases are released. Pentane is reused and CFCs are captured and neutralised.
From waste to raw material
Are PIR or PUR (sandwich) panels released during your construction project? Or do you have cutting waste and leftover insulation materials during installation? Give them a second life. Insus extracts the valuable raw materials so they can be reused in new insulation products.
What do we accept?
Panels released during installation, replacement or as residual materials on site. This includes both offcuts and complete panels.
Overhead doors with PU rigid foam, released as project residue or during replacement. These materials are processed into new raw materials.
Cutting and installation waste generated when fitting Insus insulation boards on site can always be returned. Project leftovers are also accepted.
How to return insulation materials
We make it as easy as possible to return and recycle insulation materials.
Sustainable without the hassle
#1 IT DOESN’T GET MORE SUSTAINABLE THAN THIS
#2 FULLY COMPLIANT
From national environmental legislation to the European F-gas Regulation, we comply with all strict laws governing the transport, storage and recycling of PIR and PUR waste streams. This ensures your waste is handled responsibly.
#3 FULL TRACEABILITY
We record in detail what we collect and recycle. Need a report for an internal audit or sustainability report? No problem. We help you monitor your environmental performance and demonstrate compliance.
#4 SCALABLE CAPACITY
No matter how much you collect, we can handle it. Our facility in Duiven has a recycling capacity of up to 20,000 tonnes per year. This allows us to close not only our own material loop, but yours as well.
Towards circular construction together
More and more insulation material is becoming available in the construction sector. By recycling instead of landfilling or incinerating it, we take a major step towards a circular construction chain. Increasing numbers of contractors and installation companies are adopting this approach. Together, we ensure that PIR and PUR are no longer waste, but remain valuable raw materials.
We also use part of these recycled raw materials to produce new Insus insulation boards. Discover what this means for your project.
