Getting the most out of what’s inside
Old (sandwich) panels with PIR or PUR are still often landfilled or incinerated. A waste, as they contain many valuable raw materials. Insus makes reuse possible! By recycling your panels, we reduce your environmental footprint and close the loop together.
About InsusRecycling with Insus
PIR and PUR materials become available at various points in the chain: on construction sites, during demolition and renovation projects, at waste processors or in production processes. Insus helps companies recycle these materials and reuse them as valuable raw materials.

WE CLOSE THE LOOP IN 3 STEPS

What do we accept?
We accept all types and brands of sandwich panels, as long as they still have their steel facing. Panels with polyester or mineral wool are not accepted.
All types and brands of sandwich doors can be returned, as long as they still have their steel or aluminium facing. Panels with polyester or mineral wool are not accepted.
Insus insulation boards and installation or cutting waste can always be returned. For other brands, we are happy to assess possibilities on a project basis. Contact us to discuss options.
Panels from cold rooms or refrigerated trailers also contain PU rigid foam. All types and brands can be returned for recycling.
Do you use polyurethane in industrial production processes? We are happy to explore whether your residual streams can be recycled. Contact us to discuss collection contracts and logistics support.
Insulated boilers also contain PU rigid foam. We recycle boilers of all brands in cooperation with Refurn. Boilers can only be delivered via Refurn.
PIONEERING GREEN
Insus is the first company in the world to convert PIR and PUR waste into fully separated, clean raw material streams. We do this according to the strictest environmental standards, preserving the maximum value of raw materials.
Each year, we can give up to 20,000 tonnes of waste a second life—enough not only to recycle our own insulation boards, but also to structurally reduce the amount of insulation waste in the Netherlands. We do this in an energy-efficient, fully electric factory, where we recover energy from the recycling process. This is how we create a positive, green impact.

TOGETHER AGAINST WASTE
You don’t throw away what still has value. And you don’t use more than necessary. This belief is deeply rooted in our DNA. We are driven by raw materials. That is why we are fully committed to eliminating waste. We won’t stop until all polyurethane and polyisocyanurate in the Netherlands is reused indefinitely. But we cannot do this alone. Fortunately, more and more builders, demolition companies, waste processors and other businesses are joining our mission. Will you join us?
